Pretzel Park, Manayunk, Philadelphia, PA USA - August 6, 2012; The first annual tug war competition is organized by the Manayunk Development Corporation. The event is held at Pretzel Park. 10 teams teams comprised of 120 Manayunk retailers and their staffers competed head to head till the strongest team survives. The rules are simple, pull as hard as posible till the other team crosses the line..."It is one against fourteen, it is a rough pull out there", Chirs Chirici, the oldest in his team told after he lost the heat...The final heat is between team Wall Zone and Team LeBus. Wall Zone looks confident but team LeBus turns out to strong. Restaurant owner Winnie Crowry tells it is a great opportunity for the business district to get together.
